Abstract
Teaching-students often wish a greater practical relevance in their education, especially in the courses. The study aims to develop a deeper understanding of the desire for practical applications and in general terms of teacher training. The aim of the study is to uncover the constructs that underlie these wishes and reveal the underlying benefits that students look for. In particular, students prefer a functional linkage between practical training and theoretical courses. In other words, they want practical seminars with examples from practice. However, students only partially recognize their own performance in the practice transfer.
