N2 - This is a discussion about the modern-day phenomenon of miracle claims in Christianity. It takes up the daring task of analyzing the validity of such claims and does so by discussing medically documented cases of so-believed miracle healings which have been effected by intercessory prayer. These cases are weighed by three different explanatory models: naturalism, transnaturalism and supernaturalism. To the author, a supernaturalistic interpretative grid seems to be warranted. Pro's and con's of each model are discussed in light of the presented cases.
